Thanks to Eclipse’s Medical and Scientific Advisory Board, we continue to experiment and test new advancements in aesthetic medicine. Our comprehensive team is comprised of some of the industry’s most prominent and established dermatologists and plastic surgeons, with a wide range of specialties and years of experience in helping advance medical outcomes.  Some of the new advancements we’re currently exploring include:

Advancements in PRP Technologies – PRP has been around since the 1970s and has seen a wide-range of uses over the past 40 years. But in recent years, the systems and processes to capture PRP have made significant advancements to reduce the procedure time and ensure a more purified PRP supply. We’re looking at new materials and methods that will help to provide the purist PRP supply, while reducing the production time for customers, creating a win-win for patients and providers.

Multiple Uses of PRP – while PRP has only received FDA clearance for producing platelet-rich preparations intended to be used to mix with bone graft materials to enhance bone graft handling properties in orthopedic practices, medical providers continue to advance the use of PRP through new treatments. While these are not approved uses of PRP, we’ve been carefully studying and monitoring the outcomes of PRP use for patients with alopecia, acute and chronic dermatologic conditions, as well as use in dental environments.

Advancements in Micro-Needling – the micro-needling market has become a hot segment in Aesthetics during the past few years, and new devices continue to make the practice easier and more affordable than ever. We will soon be returning to the market with a newly advanced version of the best-selling MicroPen Elite, as well as the new MicroPen EVO which incorporates the convenience of multiple hand-held devices into one cordless, rechargeable unit.

Many of these advancements will be making headlines in 2019, and with the support of our Medical and Scientific Advisory Board, we’re committed to bringing you only the best and most effective products that exceed patient expectations and put immediate profit into our customers’ practices. Look for more news from Eclipse in the coming year, with exciting new products to advance your practice and drive the industry further.
